need info on ice depth NWT

hi im heading up to the nwt north of great bear lake, wondering if anyone has any info on how deep the ice will be for the month of febuary. i know that they usually have ice roads where we are going but there isnt enough ice for them right now....anyone know how much ice they consider safe to make a ice road on?

i was in YK yesterday.....i was told there was 2ft of on great slave lake, and that the ice roads would be open to commercial traffic in 2-3 weeks.

Landed on a lake today in Boeing 737, didnt have to swim to shore:)

I'm way up North in Nunavat, right near Cambridge Bay. I have been told we have over 7 feet right now.

I was home over the christmas holiday and am pretty sure the ice roads were open from Wrigley NT to Norman wells, and further as we drove to Fort Good Hope. Not sure if they opened the Colville lake road though.
