Ram River Conditions

How are things looking on the north ram lately? Was thinking about trying it later this week. High/muddy? Lots of people?
TIA

Its been very high and fast but clear. Be careful wading.

More people in that area than I have ever seen in 30 years. It's not great to be honest.

Thanks for the info!

I was there last week and N Ram was not fishing too well. I also fished Hummingbird Creek (tributary) and caught smaller cutties. Talking to others in area and they said Ram, below the falls, has been best so far this year. You just have to figure a way to get down without killing yourself.

FYI the Hummingbird is not a tributary to the North Ram River, it is however a tributary to the South Ram River.

Right. I got all confused about what was North and South Ram, and Joyce River when I was there. Need a better map.

Did the North ram today. Not much luck and only a couple small cutties. Water is clean and I had no issues wading in the middle where I was. Lots of people on the river today. Stopped at Shunda on the way back and small brookies. I am not convinced there are any fish there over 10 inches. All in all a great day in the wild.

Hope next year is back to normal. I bet there will be lots of fishing gear for sale on kijiji this winter.

They are in there, but they sure aren’t plentiful.

That’s a beauty. Must walk further down the stream next time I go.
