This got buried several times in another post, so I thought I should share.

Everyone needs to get to the woods and get hunting!

In case anyone hasn't figured it out yet, discussing hunting is what this forum was designed for. No one can argue with someone sitting behind their computer at home. I enjoy discussing wildlife management and hunting....but somewhere along the lines people loose their flippin' minds and get into petty arguments. Here are some simple online forum etiquette points before you decide to go nuclear on a forum.

1. Give your opinion, but realise everyone else has one as well.

2. Not everyone wants to hear how awesome you are all the time. If you have to build a persona online that makes you larger than life you are compensating for something. Some of the most interesting people I know are incredibly modest. There is a trick to being modest. Try it out.

3. Learn to back away. If a forum turns into an online chat board of insults every 30 seconds, then maybe you should think about just backing off. Also, if you have to push to get the last word in, then you might still look like you lost no matter how many facts you put out there.

4. Don't write anything that you wouldn't say to someone face to face. Again, if you act like a knob in person see points 1 through 3.
