Going to be working near red earth creek in august, just wondering if there is any trout fly fishing in the area

OP, probably best to grab yourself a Backroads Map Book for Northern AB and have a look in there. They list what is in a number of lakes/rivers/streams which can save you some time and hassle.

fishing around there is best with a boat. no natural or stocked trout in the area. except lakers. i wouldn't fly fish i'd use a normal rod but everyone has their preferences. wab river north on 88 is probably the best bet for shore fishing

Only real trout fishing in that area that I can think of is Lake Trout, maybe a few stocked ponds with rainbows. Graham Lake has some monsters in it, although I've heard theft from people on the reservations is a significant concern when parking there.

The lakers are found pretty deep in the summer, so you would need a bigger rod to fish for them.
