Post your Boat

With everyone talking about picking up boats, myself included. I thought it would be nice to see what everyone else is running.

what are you looking for my friend? ...i see alot of boats around for sale ..... i miss that old tub big time .. i spent alot of time rebuilding her (7 months full time)and lots of time crawling around looking for wood and simply being on the water.. the wife and i lived on her for better part of 3 yrs ..it was and still is a good boat .. the fellow that bought her was bled out by a fellow that does shipwright work and putting a new back deck on her he spent as much as he paid for the boat .. now the old girl sits forlorn tied to a dock .. sad really .. momma and me put alot of time and love into her ....

My modest vessels

Here is my poor-man's jetboat. Slow, but can haul an aweful lot of weight and can make it up some pretty skinny water (even if we have to pull it up some stretches). Burns under a liter per hour - which is great for my student budget.

Here is my option for the rougher water (freighter canoe is pretty scary in big waves). With soon-to-be-built gun, rod, net, fish finder, and paddle rack on transom.

Here's mine!:)
I also own a little square stern SportsPal canoe i got from Cal some tiome ago - it's great for puddle jumping ducks and geese!:sHa_shakeshout:

I first started out with a crappy canoe, then traded for an inflatable pontoon. Then got an aluminum boat last year which I upgraded in the fall to the following as well as added a fishing kayak. Can't wait until summer to get them both out on the water.

Ya, I built the prop guard. Works great and doesn't even suck power that badly. It's still necessary to have a stainless steel prop when running shallow gravel, but it does a great job.

That pic was taken up in the Muncho Lake area in BC.

Soooo want one of those!

jzz30tt 04-13-2013 09:43 AM

I'll chime in on this one.

Me and my dad decided to buy one from the states. We'll be getting it this summer and I've been dying waiting on it.

She's not huge or fancy but she's mine and I can't wait to get on the water
