Lac Ste. Anne

Anyone been driving on Val Quentin area of the lake after the recent dump of snow we had?

Was out yesterday for a few hours. We were okay staying on a track driving a small pickup with 4X4.

The shovel came out once briefly after hitting a drift, off track. We accessed at ABeach .

A few small pike and no walleye, fishing 12-14' fow by bird island.

Was out yesterday afternoon for a few hours, was fine in 4x4 as long as you stayed on the sled trail. As noted above, my shovel had to come out once as well when I left the trail. Decided fishing 15' off the trail was just fine, haha. One walleye, and then a close look at a big snake and a couple other walleye cruising by the camera, the pike watched my jig from six different angles over a 20 minutes period, just staring at it. Couldn't get him to take, still fun to watch.

What depth were you fishing approximately?

Ice thickness?

Good 14" -16" straight west of sunset point towards small island.

Was in 8'-9'. Where I set up was where I stayed, unfortunately bottom was bare moonscape, wanted to go looking for some weedbed or structure but wasn't too keen on getting too far off that track by myself.

Thanx. We were a little deeper but did the same. Punched a few holes and didn't go too far after that. Snow was deeper than I had expected.
