Bohning Air fletchings.

Anyone use Bohning Air fletchings?
I’m going to try them out on carbon express blues and small diameter vaps.

Any tips? 3,4,6 fletching? Angles?

I just switched to heat vanes for my hunting arrows and they are great, and I switched to x-vanes for my 3d rigs, and that has done well too.

As far as shaft treatment to get them to stick, I just give them a quick wipe with a paper towel moistened with acetone and then glue them on. I use fletching platinum and have never in the last 20 years had a problem getting bohning vanes to stick to any carbon shaft.

The number of vanes you want to put on is totally your call.

Typically you will only be able to get 1 or 2 degrees of offset on a normal diameter shaft, and maybe a little less on a small diameter shaft. You do not need more than that , and if you do you will need to fletch with a helical jig.

Left or right handed offset or helix is totally dependant on which direction your bow clocks.

Have fun!
