fenwick profile fly line from canadian tire
ok heres the details:I bought some 25$ profile fenwick fly line at canadian tire. The tips starts to sink i think this might be because i clipped a bit of fly line of. so i thought of ways to seal it. i put a dab of floatant on might this help? The fly line casts very well. i can throw tight loops and make it land like its got a parachute on. BUT the tips sinks!!!!:mad2::mad3::mad::cry: so is the fly line i have good cause on the canadian tire website it dosent show fly line reviews

I just picked some of that stuff up last week, and I don't like it. Maybe it's my rod, but it doesn't cast as good as the line I had on before.

I have the same problem, someone told me to try and put floatant on the fly line and the leader. I haven't tried it yet, but it is a thought.
I have tried more expensive stuff and it casts a lot nicer and easer then the fenwick stuff I have, it seems you get what you pay for. |
guys!
guys im not talking about how good it casts! im talking about how do you fix the sinking tips.

Cheap fly lines don't float. You need to to spend $50+ to get a good line. Try some Scientific angler lines (mastery series, professional series) or Rio lines. Cortland lazer lines are not too bad.
I like Scientific angler lines: http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3...s/FloatingFly/ |
What weight rod are you using, maybe I got some line kicking around somewhere?
Cheers, Doc |
hey
well i just got a 20$ cash infusion. Im thinking of buying some nice double taper 5 weight line in the 40-50$ range. the fishing hole sells some nice stuff.
