#3 Blue Fox
All fishing trips start with a fly rod, with a few exceptions of course that being walleye lakes, when the fly rod proves ineffective and spin gear is permitted, out comes the spin rod, if i had to pick one lure it would be the #3 blue fox, why it is super effective in one lake and not another I have no idea.
Boat trolling in blood indian, payne, grand cache lake, pierre greys, are good examples dont seem to matter what time of day. They are not cheap, but dont hurt to have a couple in the tackle box, last years first cast loss of one still hurting a little bit. |
That blue fox worked well trolling in a trout lake in northern Saskatchewan

fox
That do not surprise me at all, the big browns in lakes around St. Johns are extremely difficult to catch , the blue fox took more than its share.

#0 Blue Fox
My go-to trout spinner is a "0" Blue Fox in silver. Ultra light rod. 4# mono.
