ATRS Modern Hunter or Modern Varmiter

Anyone on here have one? How do you like it? Does it shoot accurately as promised? How do you find the recoil of a gas gun?

Feel free to post pics

I love mine, it has been very accurate using 55gr nosler varmageddon factory loads. I plan to handload but have not yet had a chance to work up a load yet.
I have shot several sub moa groups so far with no issues at all. Mine is the medium contour 18.6" stainless barrel with the fortis handgaurd, magpul ctr stock, ergo grip, and usually use the LAR mags. It had a leupold vx3 4.5-14x 40 cds scope in a leupold one piece mount. I shot a few late gophers with it as soon as i got it last fall. And my first coyote with it just before Christmas.

How is the accuracy? Is it sub moa?

Yes, I've found it to be usually around .75" at 100 with the odd group even better. I haven't shot it a whole bunch for groups after the initial sight in. Once I get some time to try some hand loads I'll hopefully have a better idea. The factory noslers I've used are more than satisfactory by my standards at any rate. I've got around 150 rounds through it, no issues at all. Very happy with the fit and finish and overall quality of the rifle. From what I was told, I was one of the first ones to get my rifle from the first run. I placed my order the very first day they received the frt number and were able to accept orders.

Trigger

How do you find the trigger?

Thanks for the info and the great pics

I had a MH, and now I have the Varminter. They are very accurate. I sold my MH to fund another project. The Varminter I like better. The .223 is lighter, less recoil, and I'll be using it for 3 gun. You can't go wrong with either one. The trigger is a Timney match AR15. Wonderful!

Here's my MV...

I agree, the trigger is excellent. The only thing I dislike is the price, but after using it for the last few months, I can get over that too.

I would say that trigger is similar to my browning x bolt. A bit heavy, but no creep

Any thoughts on the ATRS vs a BCL 102?

I was thinking about purchasing a MH but now I'm leaning towards the BCL in 308

I love my MV it is light and plenty accurate for hunting coyotes.Look at the threads on cgn, by the time you have the bcl running accurately and reliably you may as well just buy a MH.
