First Pistol Purchase - Dealer or Private Sale?

So I figure I best get off my arse and pick me up a 9mm (or two or three) before that's the next thing to get banned. Have had my RPAL for years and shot some and enjoy it quite a bit, just never bought one for myself before but have been meaning to. (CDTSA range member so good there)

So with regards to the new updated transport rules etc, and never having been through this process before, is it going to be too much of a PIA with the registration and the permit to transport with buying private vs getting some assistance from a dealer in this regard? I expect those that do it a bunch will say just giver! But it's all new to me........

Thx!

Depends how you buy it. If it's not local, pick up at Canada Post (best way to ship) and your ATT covers you. Likewise, if it is local, you can pick up from buyer's residence/place of business, ATT also covers you to transport home. No extra paperwork.

Just go for it.

Well no time like the present to start properly figuring this stuff out I guess! Time to do a refresher on the ATT requirements.........
