Langdon Resevoir
For the first time ever, I've been seeing guys and trucks out on the ice on Langdon Resevoir ice fishing, and quite a few guys too. Every day theres at least 1 or 2 trucks there, and different trucks all the time too. I've heard that theres Pike in there, but the water level always seemed so low, I never bothered. Now all of a sudden everybodys fishing it, anybody know what the scoop is?

langdon reservoir
do you mean the reservoir just outside of langdon , or dalemead lake by hwy 22X ?
|
Last time I fished there was 15 yrs ago. Lots of hammer handles.

I've always known it as Langdon Resevoir. Its a DU project (I believe) just East of the Langdon turnoff (797) on the north side of 22x. About 26km from the city.

We use to Bow hunt pike there in the old days when one could do that. We never saw a fish over 5lb. They draw the water down so low at times that there just isn't that much habitat available. The lake is polluted with scuds though. Man that lake could grow giant trout if there wasn't any sharks there.

Langdon Reservoir/Weed Lake
Hi All
DU or municipality has allowed the lake to resume normal water levels again over the last couple years. Google sattelite doesn't yet show it but it appears that it now extends 22X North past Glenmore Trail as I heard was the plan about 5 years ago. Might have to go and put the pontoon on there and go for a float. Was the best fishing always at the outlet and never at the inlet? |
dalemead lake
has anyone ever caught perch or white fish in dalemead? interested to know.
