Did he reach his prime last year?

What do you guys think. I have lots of pictures of this deer the last two years. Did he reach his prime last year and now he’s on the decline for antler growth?

Thanks for the input

Could be just lack of good food in area. The horns will stay smaller if bad year for editable vegetation growth.

Nice buckaroo.

He is bigger now. Not all deer grow into booners. My guess he is peak now. Choot it!!

I'd say he's bigger this year.. Ive found bucks to peak around 7 years of age or older he probably still has some good years in him.

I’m gonna say that’s a 4-1/2yr old buck from the looks of it. He looks bigger this year but I think he’s still got 2 more years of growth.

That’s just my opinion from looking at the 2017 pic.

I agree with Kurt that there's still a good chance he will grow in the next two year ,at least one more year if you can keep him around.

A bad winter can play a big factor on this ,along with food source and how heavy the predators are out your way.

If it’s even the same deer.

What date was the velvet pic taken? He bigger this year, he’s still growing when that last pic was taken.

He looks bigger this year than last, I’d say he’s probably getting close to how big he will ever be unless winter was harsh in your area this last year. I’d probably pull the trigger either this year or next, any idea of how old he is?
