Draws open up May 1st, what are you guys hoping to get this year? I will be in Super A for basically everything this year, I'm not holding my breath for too much this year since the roll out of the legacy pool. But, I am hoping to get a mule deer tag but I'm not really sure yet where i want to put in for. Haha Any suggestions? Is it worth putting in down south in zones 2 or 3 or should i stay local and try for 26 or 27. I'm fairly new to Saskatchewan and really don't know the province that well so it would be cool to do some more exploring

I have a question-How can you be super a but be new to Sask?

When you First enter the pool as a first time resident they automatically start you in A pool. I didn't draw anything last year so now I am in super A being a second year applicant.

Changes to the big game draw pool
system were implemented in 2018. As a result, a new D pool is in effect for the 2019 big game draw. All successfully drawn 2018 applicants and first-time applicants will be placed in the D pool for 2019. This change will reduce the number of applicants entering the Super A pool each year, increasing your odds of being drawn. |

I'm for 47 whitey's :) Good luck. WDF |
I applied for the Canadian resident whitetail draw for zone 22 my dad and 2 brothers live in that zone and I hunted for 25 years in that zone prior to moving West to Alberta. Having immediate family gives you a priority over people who apply with no immediate family.

Unless your sponsored by a family member you won't ever get drawn in good zones. I hear next year they're looking at IF that said sponsor owns land in the zone you applied for, otherwise again you're hooped.

Saskatchewan residency requirement is 3 months before purchasing a hunting licence.
The complete hunting synopsis is on-line, usually in July. SERM is trying to reduce demand for paper copies of the Hunting Synopsis but Cabela's usually has paper Synopsis copies by mid-August. If buying a licence through the mail you can get the regulations synopsis with you licence after it's released. Due to Covid-19 there is currently no counter service at SERM offices. |
Saskatchewan petition
Stop the Trudeau Gun Ban
Throughout Canada, the vast majority of firearm-related crime is committed with illegally obtained long guns and handguns, yet Justin Trudeau’s federal gun ban targets law-abiding firearm owners. Scott Moe and the Saskatchewan Party are defending law-abiding gun owners by opposing this ineffective gun ban and selecting a provincially appointed Chief Firearms Officer. Sign here if you agree that Justin Trudeau’s gun ban unfairly targets law-abiding gun owners while doing little to stop illegal gun activity. https://www.saskparty.com/trudeaugun...uiter_id=61693 |
Heard Canadian whitetail draw results might be revealed this week!!!!
