Did you just call me Honey??

My wife and I were just watching Power Play on CTV, a panel of men in studio and Alise Mills...some back and forth banter and out of the blue Alise loses her mind...??

'did you just call me Honey?? Did you just call me honey??!!??'...

Stunned silence from all the men...mumbling...'I didn't call her honey...?'

I rewound and turned it up, we watched it four or five times. Nobody called her honey, but holy hell what an alarmed looking bunch of men, each envisioning their career being destroyed by an angry woman...wow. I will have to see if I can find it and upload. Don Martin looked like he so badly wanted to say something, anything.

This is full episode, Monday Jan 21st, about the 20 or 25 minute mark?

Scary times.

Unfortunately, they are real problems for some people. Whole lifetimes of hard work and achievement can be wiped out in a heartbeat, for nothing.

Yep, whole careers gone in an instant. All it takes is one misspoken thought followed by a video going viral.

MugEye 01-21-2019 06:51 PM

What did I miss . What’s wrong if someone calls her honey ?

YYC338 01-21-2019 07:01 PM

My response would have been: Nope, but I will call you an azzhole for trying to play that card with absolutely no justification.

I would have paid Don big money to say that...

It occurs at the 19:58 minute mark, watch from about the 19 minute mark for a bit of context, then scratch your head and think...wtheck......

buckbrush 01-21-2019 08:52 PM

Bahaha. Nothing even sounded close to 'honey'
Best to watch of full screen, the fear in those poor guys eye's.

huntinstuff 01-21-2019 08:56 PM

😂😂

Reminds me of Night at the Roxbury where that club owner constantly says “Did you just grab my azz”?

Twisted Canuck 01-21-2019 09:51 PM

I don't think I've ever seen anything like that happen live, especially not right in the middle of a political talk show....

The poor guys just looked totally gobsmacked. I bet her husband doesn't call her Honey much either.

bezzola 01-21-2019 10:27 PM

Give her 10 years then there will be a law suit

I’ve seen it happen, one minute they’re the king of the world, next minute, they’re kickin a horse turd down the road!
For saying things that I in my wildest dreams would have never gotten a person fired, sometimes it’s best just to say nothing, I’ve warned my guys on multiple occasions, watch what you say in the lunchroom, everyone else is!

smith88 01-21-2019 10:33 PM

What about her calling the leader of his party his "boss"?

I replayed it several times and didn't hear honey...

IR_mike 01-21-2019 10:52 PM

What the heck is she doing out of the kitchen to begin with?

She obviously had a Freudian slip in relation to a recipe ingredient.

fishtank 01-21-2019 11:12 PM

Just don’t call me Shirley...:bad_boys_20:

tri777 01-22-2019 12:07 AM

Wow, what a nutbag, how did she confuse
'Employee" for "Honey" ??

ReconWilly 01-22-2019 07:17 AM

These false accusers should be removed from society, not catered to as if they are special needs.

It sounds crazy but what is the difference between this false allegation and a false rape allegation?,

Either can ruin a life and both should face HARSH UNFORGIVING PUNISHMENT.

A liar is a liar and liars cannot be trusted, especially false accusers.

This woman is a predator looking for easy prey plain and simple, disgusting and no different than any other filthy predator looking for it's next victim.

I wonder if the network will issue a statement on it

Or if it will be swept under the rug

They will alter the footage to support the lunatics claim and denounce toxic masculinity...

FAKE NEWS FAIL.

Jack Hardin 01-22-2019 09:02 AM

There is a female checkout clerk who works at Dollarama who calls everyone Dear. Next time I'm going to have to pull a Alise Mills and say out loud, "Did you just call me dear. Did you just call me dear?"

Twisted Canuck 01-22-2019 09:02 AM

I kind of thought she was the one suffering with Toxic Masculinity....nothing much ladylike about her aggressive and uncalled for behavior, right?

Hahaha but I think you meant toxic FEMINISM... Nothing wrong at all with masculinity.

Twisted Canuck 01-22-2019 09:11 AM

In fairness though, Ms. Mills (apparently there is no husband to call her 'honey'), has had to put up with Tony Clement, which is pretty creepy. Perhaps that explains the hair trigger response and the the readiness to take offense...too bad she lost it on TV for no reason whatsoever.

Assuming Don Martin has a say in who is a guest on his show and who isn't, I would be surprised to her on another power play after that stunt.

That's sort of what the wife and I were thinking too. If you listen to the segment, about a minute before she loses her mind, she refers to the other guests as 'your male panel'.....she is obviously very gender sensitive. And she was obviously already a bit triggered and offended by the 'male panel' before she even didn't hear somebody call her 'honey'. Don Martin looked rightfully disgusted.

Hawkeye 01-22-2019 09:35 AM

There USED to be things you could not say to a girl...…..some of those things you still can't say, but DON"T EVER call her a girl!

Political correctness has just gone crazy!

CaberTosser 01-22-2019 09:42 AM

I must be crazy, when an older truck stop waitress calls me "Honey" I take it as a term of endearment and might reply with "Thank you, Dear"

jungleboy 01-22-2019 09:48 AM

Oddly, I was watching a you tube video last night and this guy was interviewing people on the street in New York regarding the democrats and socialism when the man being interviewed called the man doing the interview "Honey" and it was like it never happened ...strange times we live in.

CBintheNorth 01-22-2019 10:09 AM

A quote from her in the Globe and Mail article.
...she said. “There’s nothing more heartbreaking ... It makes you ask yourself, ‘Am I crazy?’.”

Honey, the answer is "Yes".

They should have immediately cut to a Gillette commercial:scared0018:
