Besides the NSR, anyone know of good places to shore fish around Edmonton??

pothole trout lakes are great

Pembina can be fun but it't about an hour away.:)

North end of Coal Lake, just off the highway, for pike. But you can only do it for a couple weeks after season opening, then it gets too weedy and you only catch snags.

can you still fish the intake and outtake canals at wab just west of town? shore fish with a big smelt or anchovie under a large slip bobber for early season northerns.
