Looking for campgrounds in south end of Edmonton or nearby

Hey all, never camped in or near the city. I have a 26ft trailer and am looking for a spot for a couple nights while we do the west ed.
Looking for a family friendly place, not a known yahoo party spot with power and water. Did the search function and found a thread that mentioned Rainbow valley. Looks good on google, any thoughts or other recommendations? My kids are toddlers, so no nothing over a slide and swing set is really needed. I just don’t want to end up listening to the rambunctious crowd waking the kids up all night.
Thanks!

I am sure all campgrounds are fully booked for the season.
Only place you will be able to park and sleep is in the Yellowhead Casino parking lot where they allow over night camping. I may be wrong but as far as I know it is free. I drive by every day and you see the same trailer every day .
Good luck .

Caper, we stayed 4 nights at Rainbow Valley last summer. Cannot say enough positive things about the place.

x2. Stayed here a couple times. Had a riverfront lot last time. Nice and clean. Great golf course too next to it

A number of the small golf courses close to Edmonton have campgrounds, like the one at highway 37 and highway 2. Also, Spruce Grove, Stony, Mornville, Leduc and St Albert all have campgrounds run by the municipality. There are a ton of places to camp. Just pick where you want to be and a little work on Google and the phone and you will find lots of options.

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate it. Wish me luck at the water park with two toddlers and the Mrs. Lol

Wabamum is good, little farther out at around 30-40 minutes, But they have a beach right there, and full hook ups IIRC.

NVM I just looked and Wabamum appears to only have electric sites.
