bow tune question....
Guys, I'm shooting a bowtech reign6 with a whisker biscuit. Left Handed.
When I shoot using 20 and 30 yard pins, I put the pin directly over the bulls eye. But out at 40 yards I need to aim left of the bulls eye by about 3" to hit it. Pins are all aligned vertically. Does this sound like a rest adjustment issue or possibly form issue? Anyone out there have any ideas? Thanks. |
Form, spine, torque, tune, peep twist can even cause it.

Does your sight have a level? Might just be canting your bow more at longer distances.

Thanks. |
Your whisker biscuit could be causing it too, make sure it is tuned properly to that rest....uneven “whisker wear” could cause it too.

Sounds to me like you have move your bisket towards your riser. Your centershot should be about 13/16 from the riser as a starting point. Check that out.

Wouldn't be rest cause you'd be off at 30 as well. Could be 3rd axis on your sight but likely form.

That used to happen to me and still does il be bang on from 20-40 then 50-90 I'm always to the right it's the way I held the bow. Once I learned that I have to make sure Im always level

Some things to note.
-Make sure your peep is the same size as your sight housing at full draw. This drift can cause a difference in point of impact. -Make sure your shot execution is the same at all distances, pulling straight through etc. -Make sure you have a relaxed front hand, and in saying this don't worry about trying to see your arrows, just worry about proper execution. It could be a variety of things but if your bow is tuned correctly it is likely you..easy to do. Hope it works out for you |
I think the first thing you should do is verify that the sight level is perpendicular to your string. Sounds like a torque or level issue. Level is the easiest one to address.

thanks for the insights.
I'm thinking it's a form issue. I shot outside yesterday, focusing more on keeping the bow level and it seemed to cure that problem. |
