Fly Fishing near Nordegg

Hi,

I'm trying to surprise my partner with a fishing and camping trip this weekend to Nordegg. We're not from Canada but have been living here for 3 years and he has not had time to do as much fly fishing here as he'd like to.
As of yet we have no campsite booked, we will probably camp in the bush as I don't hold out much hope of getting anything due to the long weekend.

I've never been to Nordegg, he went fishing there once around 2 years ago and loved it, but his sense of direction is terrible, so even narrowing it down to the river he fished is pretty much impossible...

I'd really appreciate some tips about which rivers would be good to fly fish this weekend, we don't mind a bit of walking, but he's not got the best knees to be walking more than 5-7km.
Any advice on types of fly to use would also be great...

Thanks so much!

Forestry trunk road has small creeks beside it with brookies.

Black stone. Up the trunk.

This. Chunky cutties on the fly are the best!
