Alberta Outdoorsmen Forum - Sturgeon report

Our Sturgeon fishing has been rather impressive this year. Fraser river flows are in our favour thus opening up tons of fishable water. Success rate for the season on 8 hr charters still sits at 100% although it was scary on a certain tough day last week when we only got 1 fish landed. Thankfully it was over 6 feet. Those kind of days are rare and as we are now in peak season I would expect the 100% success rate to continue. If you are looking for really big fish then take note of the dates below. Fish over 8 feet are common!
Here are some prime dates that we still have for key Sturgeon dates:
July 23-Aug 15, Sept 10-24, Oct 7-30(extremely good!).
