My son was just robbed at gunpoint 137 ave gas station edmonton
He went to an atm and took out $300 for a tuner for his truck, found on kijiji. He got the money and felt something at the back of his head. A 5'7 black man told him to give him the (expletive) money or he was going to blow his head off.
He just got out of the Police station. No sleep for any of us tonight. This little bastard better get caught. Soab I hate cities. |
Whereabouts on 137 Ave? Keep you and yours close.
|
Scary stuff Ken. I'm glad your boy is ok.
I have a nephew who was robbed at knifepoint two days in a row in Calgary when he went there for school. |
What time of the day?
|
Sorry to hear this Ken.
|
Crazy stuff. I'm glad your boy is ok.
|
Any more to the story?
|
Holy **** dude. Now that is some freakin' scary. Glad your son is okay.
Northside Edmonton sometimes... |
Brutal. Glad he is okay.
|
I hope they get him Ken, sickening!
Where did it happen? |
Of course the media doesn’t cover this type of crime, and because of that people don’t realize how common it is.
|
Another reason for CC.
|
Must have been in Clareview. It's getting pretty bad in that area.
The Walmart there has security similar to the airport now with gates and those shoplifting metal detector things. |
I have a police scanner that I listen too once in a while and we only get about 3-5% of what is actually happening on our streets from the news.
Glad your boy is ok, money can be replaced. |
Thanks to a legal system that treats the criminals as victims, these scumbags just keep getting braver. It's just too bad we can't even carry a weapon to protect ourselves.
|
Glad your boy is okay. This city is so scummy worst city I’ve lived in. I was jumped two times at 6 am at a bus station on the south side. Two crack heads got me on my way to work. Seems like this place is getting worst by the day for crimes like that. I always carry a pocket knife on me now. You never know. Glad it was only Money he took that can always be replaced
|
Sorry to hear Ken, hope your boy is ok.

Glad your son is ok Ken. I wouldn't hold my breath on the police catching the maggot who did it. My girl got robbed at knife point in downtown GP a few years ago, during rush hour, and they never even bothered to contact us after she made her statement.
|
That's nuts, Ken! How's your son holding up? He must be pretty shaken up.
|
sorry to hear this news Ken, but I'm glad your boy got to keep his life, I as well hope they catch the scum., but that's going to be a tough order...sad about that...
Zip |
Sorry to hear that.
Don't tell Trudeau or he'll give that guy and award. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Terrible things happening in this world we live in. Its getting worse daily it seems. Glad he is ok. Money can be replaced a life cant.
|
He was pretty shaken when he called me I am waiting to hear from him about the entire story. I asked if the Police are going to alert the media.
He was mad he didn't have a knife, but I have a son this morning. Everyone is a superhero and could take on the world until you hear a gun being cocked at the base if your skull. Please don't use this as an excuse to fire your stupid c.c. agenda I could have lost my son last night. |
And the truth is, that under those circumstances, the thief could have used an air pistol or a fake gun, and people would never know whether he had a real firearm or not

Gheeze, I'm sure glad your boy is ok.
Every time the Pit Boss goes to the bright lights with his friends I suffer minor anxiety over it. Now I know how justified I am about those feelings. |
And thanks guys.
We are a little wound up today. It was an Esso on Victoria Trail. |

He said the Police told him it is a daily occurrence in Edmonton and never hits the news until there us a body. They should be warning people on the news. |

My brother and sister were held up at gunpoint in the Edmonton University Hospital snack bar back in the mid 80's. When the perp cycled the shotgun's action in their co-workers face, they knew their best bet was to stay put and comply. For years afterward, my brother was still racking his brain over how he could have done something to defend themselves, or keep the perp from getting away. The fact is, however, their lives weren't snuffed out that evening. |
