Alberta Outdoorsmen Forum - Kootenay lake report April 25-29th

We arrive and had time for an evening fish, within 30mins I get a screamer while dragging hair on a planner board but we loose it right away. We all look at each other and say this is going to be good!
The next day is beautiful, the sun shining flat waters decide to use a Coyote spoon with a flasher and again we a strike with a line release and loose it. Well for us this trend continues for two full days but we were reward on our final day with two gerrards one small and the other 11-1/2 pounds and 31" long, sweet!
So dragging hairs is just kicking in. Hockey sticks were the only thing working for most peeps this past Friday and Saturday as per radio chatter and Sunday was best for dragging hairs.
We will return again in 3 weeks time!
