Boaters beware

Anyone boating Payne lake west of Cardston beware of a large submerged sandbar halfway between dock and the north island right out in the middle of the lake . Down about 18inches. Water level of lake is down about 3 ft and lots of big weed patches showing now.

Sounds like where I went fishing this past weekend! Caught the bottom of a wave and dropped my lower unit right on the bottom. Thankfully I didn’t have it locked down so it pivoted up and didn’t do any damage.

Fishing was abit slow , caught 3 little guys in an hr . Weeds are up right next to the top now.
