buzzboss Mosquito control

I am looking into getting my yard sprayed by buzzboss, they have a package that they guarantee mosquito control for the season for $200. Has anyone used them, is it effective. Tell me about your experiences. I would love to get rid of those pesky blood suckers. web link for reference

Thanks

I am also looking into having these guys come out and spray my yard. Would definitely like to hear feedback if others have used them.

I have these guys coming out his week sometime I believe. I will let you guys know how it goes! If this thread disappears and I forgot about it just shoot me a PM. I'm out in Langdon close to a slough, so buzz boss will be put to the test! Lol

Is this through green drop??

Does anyone know what chemical they're putting down ??

Gun 05-14-2018 03:36 PM

We bought a DynaTrap last year. It hangs on our deck and works great. More importantly no chemicals and no dead birds. We have a Martin Colony and a lot of other songbirds we enjoy.

Not sure if spraying your yard will really work. Those suckers travel with the wind and can fly to visit you from the neighbor yard.

ChickakooKookoo 05-14-2018 03:52 PM

I've been spraying the yard down with this for the last 3 years and I have to say, works pretty well. $130/gallon or so but I'm only halfway through the first gallon jug I bought with a 1/2 acre yard.

I spoke to a fellow on the phone and said they will spray every three weeks for the season. I didn't ask what it was they used.

He said they are repelled by the spray and would not land on anything with that scent. I don't known how it works but I'm already sick of the mosquitos.

My question on this product is how many of the "good" bugs do you catch as well..:eg ladybugs etc?

Probably garlic spray it’s pretty common with mosquito problems

notlim 05-15-2018 07:26 AM

If I remember correctly it's a ultra concentrated garlic spray. The mosquitos hate the smell. So stay away. From what I remember from a video I watched last year your yard smells like garlic for a day or 2

ChickakooKookoo 05-15-2018 07:41 AM

Yeah the Mosquito Barrier is just garlic concentrate. It's 99.6% garlic as I recall from the label. And yeah, your yard stinks like garlic for a couple days after but it seems to last about 6-8 weeks.

I thought that whole garlic and vampires thing was just a myth!

They came a couple days ago. I have found a few dead bugs on the deck and a couple around the driveway. Nothing alive so far! Although it's only been 2 days like I said and haven't been outside a ton. I'm laying SOD on Saturday so I should get a better idea then

All I've seen is moths and mosquitos.

Wonderful.....I can live with that.

sgill808 05-22-2018 06:29 AM

Any updates on how it worked over the weekend?

2000victory 05-24-2018 08:09 AM

Large bottle of Listerine from Dollar Store...put in spray bottle and spry area ...mosquitoes gone.

notlim 05-24-2018 10:24 AM

I have them coming in next week to spray. I will update after.

It definitely helps limit mosquitoes. I haven't been around when they have sprayed, but I believe they sprayed my deck, front porch/garage and along the fence. I don't believe they spray the grass. I can stand outside my house and deck and not many mosquitos, I walk about 50 yards down the street close to a field by our house and they are insane. They will come back and do 3-4 applications as well

Sgill808: sorry buddy, just noticed you were asking about the garlic method and not buzz boss. My reply was referring to Buzz Boss

I'm pretty much asking about ant solution to the mosquito problem, preferably the one that causes them the most pain and suffering. I phoned buzzboss a few weeks ago and got a quote, just wasn't sure if it was worth it, so any feedback helps.

notlim 06-07-2018 01:31 PM

Buzzboss has been out and sprayed a few times now. It's awesome. I have hardly any mosquitos compared to before. I was sceptical. However I will keep them for the rest of the summer.

Did they tell you what exactly they are spraying?

Norwest Alta 06-07-2018 02:00 PM

My mom had them come and spray her house. She has noticed a difference. I called them to see if a could get a 5 gal pail of their spray but unfortunately they don't sell it privately.

Yah I'm still waiting for that answer as well.

There doesn't seem to be much concern over *what* is being sprayed, other than "it works"....

MSDS anyone ??

Concentrated garlic in a liquid form. The way I understand it is it is sprayed on the lawn.
