Prairie Elk
Where I seen this one, I'm not sure if he is from Suffield or Sweetgrass. A long ways from any main herd. He was running with a whitetail doe. Not sure if he was chasing her or following her. What does a 350" bull look like this time of year.

290 bull
I would gamble and say he will be a high 200" bull around 290" or so. Very saggy eyeguard, good sign of a young'un.
Cool pics. Thanks for sharing. |

There are much closer established elk herds in every direction from 110.... As far as size, he is still a young raghorn, probably a 3 1/2 year old bull, maybe just two. I suspect he will be a 5x5 scoring no more than 240. |

Not like the bull in the picture. Nice pics. |
Thanks for the pics! After hunting season is over all I want is for summer to come and then wants animals start growing antlers and draw results are out, I can't wait for it to be fall. That's life with a hunting addiction I guess....:thinking-006:

I live on the southern end of 110, not that uncommon to see elk the last few years.

This one is going to be at least a 6x6. http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/d...o029/004_2.jpg http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/d...o029/023_1.jpg The skies are full of smoke in southern AB. made for some good pic's. http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/d...o029/019_1.jpg There were 9 bulls and 1 with no horns ,but likely a bull. http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/d...o029/006_5.jpg http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/d...o029/013_1.jpg |
