Most Likley lighter line than you'd think, we were fishing in Mexico and the charters were misty using 30 pound mono. Pulled in a 400 pounder o it. Nothing like that monster though! Wow!

Amazing marlin! How're your back and arms!?

Could you please tell me what that circular thing near its eye is? It shows up in both photos - a curl of line?

i would think its the line, alot of the time they cut the leader off and tie a new one on when a fish is caught.

I cant get over the size of that thing.

What an awesome specimen. I hate to see a fish of that caliber dead though.

I kept my first blue however, the only marlin I've ever killed and regretted doing so ever since. Got to be careful not to be a hypocrite I guess....
