Found on bow

hey i found some stuff on the bow today, not gonna say what or where due to the fact if you lost it youll know what it is. So please pm me with a message.

slivers86 04-24-2012 09:58 PM

was it a ginger parked in an old beat up van? :sHa_shakeshout:

Really though, good on ya for posting up. hope you find the owner, if not... you win the treasure hunt :)

fishermansfriend 04-24-2012 10:00 PM

hey, well i left some shoes in a parking lot one time.. a nice pair of nikes as i was wearing waders and when i came back they where gone so i was pretty upset even though it was my fault. I only wish there where more people like me...

Hope this proves im not a criminal like one member stated haha..

BobLoblaw 04-24-2012 10:06 PM

Was it a 30" trout? I've lost a bunch of those...:)

Seriously, though, thanks for making an effort to get whatever you found back to it's rightful owner...:sHa_shakeshout:

WayneChristie 04-25-2012 07:42 AM

thinking it may have been Bobloblaws luck, Ive fished with him before and he seemed to have lost it :sHa_sarcasticlol:
good on you for trying to find the owner.

fishermansfriend 04-25-2012 11:23 AM

Bump

MTB_FlyFisher 04-25-2012 02:02 PM

First off, this is probably my most embarrassing first post on a forum EVER...

I suppose it would depend on if you found stuff BY the bow or IN the bow.

Saturday (April 21) I was out for a pontoon float of the section between Douglasdale and Policemans flats with a friend from Red Deer that had brought down his pontoon boats but had forgotten his rod holders for the boats at home.

To make a long story short, I may have inadvertently donated a rod to the river gods. So if you happened to find a TFO 5/6 weight rod rigged up with an orange thingamabobber, an atomic worm, and another nymph suspended below the worm then chances are I owe you a few cases of beer for being honest enough to try to find the rightful owner.

fishermansfriend 04-25-2012 02:22 PM

Unfortunatly my friend this is not what i found but i will keep an eye out for you, as i do fish the bow fairly regularly.. best of luck in finding your gear.

fishermansfriend 04-25-2012 02:53 PM

All i can say is whomever left what i found will more than likely want it back...

If it's fishing related you can always post it on the elitest snobby fly fish calgary board :)

FFC has a lost and found section...

Enter that. Should work. Not much for new activity

Dgirl 04-26-2012 01:49 PM

Did you post on the lost and found section in kijiji? That's probably a popular place for people to look.

I know the Canmore RCMP holds items for 30 days before donating to a charitable cause.

ÜberFly 04-26-2012 01:53 PM

Yup!

That's why I refered to "it" as the "elitest snobby board"!! LoL Gotta be fair, ya know!! LoL

ive been scanning kijiji regularly, I dont want to post what i found because its something any fisherman/woman would love to have. I suspect whom ever lost these items definatly wants them back. Hopefully they are looking! or post an add on kijiji.

fishermansfriend 04-26-2012 02:54 PM

The only charity these will be donated to if no one claims them in my own hehe.. If after 30 days no one claims them ill be one happy camper but until then ill keep looking.

TyreeUM 04-26-2012 03:08 PM

I lost every piece of fishing gear I own, which just happens to be everything you can buy that is fishing related...I was hoping someone found some of it! Thanks!

Dgirl 04-26-2012 03:10 PM

Was thinking we should start a guessing game . . . *lol*
Let's see in the past year I loaned a brand new knife that never got returned, and a random log stole a lure or 20.

ÜberFly 04-26-2012 03:24 PM

If you are really serious with finding the person you could always put notices up where you found them (or near access points, etc.), as well most if not all of the shops around town have message/notice boards... You don't have to go into detail as to what you found but just to call you if they lost anything near a specific area/spot?!

The only thing I'm aware of is a buddy that lost a 3 wt St. Croix fly rod and Islander Reel!! And there are already posts referring to them on both boards...

i lost a sobeys bag full of brown trout. took me a week of throwing nets to get my limit and i am bummed. if you see me on the river and have my fish please return them. i am driving a gold minivan.....:sHa_shakeshout:

this is just a joke...

fishermansfriend 04-26-2012 05:02 PM

The thing is i put in the title i found it on the bow.. But heres some additional info...

Found near policemans flats, i also stated for them to message me on here.

now if someone has a member name on the calgary flyfishing forum please could you make a post stating that some expensive gear was found near this area and that i can be reached through this forum... I dont really want to post my number on the internet.

I think ive done my part.

fishermansfriend 04-27-2012 11:17 AM
