Ice thickness
We were at Beaver Mines Sat Mar 1st ice thickness was around 18" or so there was 4 to 5 inches of fresh snow on the ice. I did not take my 4*4 onto the ice as I did not want to risk getting stuck on the ice when there was nobody else around as it must have been well into the -40's outside of my tent, fishing was very slow 3 small fish between the 2 of us over a 5 hr period.
We were at Beavauis in Feb the ice was around 18" there as well fishing was pretty good. Hoping to head down to Beavauis this Sat. Both lakes have a lot less ice than chain which was close to 36" last Sat. Gillfisher |
Thanks for the info...Ice is pretty much done for fishing in the lethbridge area.

Open around edges need a long 2x6 to get onto ice.
But then you might not get off! Lots of runoff in the irrigation reservoirs |
