2014 Archery Harvest Thread....post your Pics

Post your pics of your archery harvests from this year, let's TRY to keep this civil and positive!

....Here is my opening day harvest :)

Called him in while trailing an elk herd....almost the exact same place things went down with my bull elk last year, maybe it is good luck for me to call a coyote in while elk hunting?

This time I shot the coyote and no elk....30 yards, he ran 20 yards in a full out sprint and collapsed then rolled twice like struck by lightning, he never made a sound..wish I had it on camera!

I'll guess grim reaper razor tip 100 grain 1-3/8" cutting diameter!

Indeed it is....flys true, opens nicely....what's not to love! The broad head was in Nearly immaculate shape after blowing through the coyote and tumbling after hitting the ground and grass. Something to be said about the toughness of the Goldtip Hunter XT 7595 arrows too!

Hard to take solo pics with only a pack and a camera with 10sec timer :)

Just got this one tonight. Was in the stand at 3:30 PM, ready for the long haul until 8:30, and he came out at 4:15. Bonus! no flashlight tracking, and all dressed and hung before dark. Had a 50 yard shot from a treestand, perfectly quartered away, head down in the grass. Ran about 80 yards in 3 seconds, and piled up. Just using mechanicals for the first time, and sure can't say a bad thing about the NAP killzones. Entry was massive, and although not a passthrough, it really performed.

Awesome bow buck, just curious what part of the province you are from, all my bucks are all still full velvet as of yesterday.

Leather burner 09-05-2014 08:34 AM

WMU 238, everything else I've seen here has been full velvet still, but this guy rubbed it off sometime in the last week of Aug.

shedcrazy 09-05-2014 09:52 AM

Great Idea. Already posted this guy in the hunting season but I will add him to this thread.

First year bow hunting, first bear and first bow kill.Had a rough start with archery , bought from a big box store and learned my lesson the hard way. After lots of reading and tips from the guys on this site I got the bow to the point I was comfortable with. Put out the bait 4 days earlier , went back in to setup treestands. Managed to get one stand up and ladder to the other. Then this guy come in and didnt want us anywhere near his food. Left went home came back a few hours later with the bow to finish the next stand, didnt even get the stand halfway backup and we heard him coming in. Got up in the first stand and waited within 15 mins he was with a clear broadside shot. Complete pass through. Went about 100 yrds and piled up. Needless to say I'm impressed with the bowtech and hooked on bow hunting :sHa_shakeshout: Measured from nose to base of the tail was 5 ft 8in.

Great pics. so far and it's early in the season. Surprised leather's buck had no velvet at all. Must have been anxious to get down to buisness.
