I'm sure they have a good reason. Lol

pikergolf 11-09-2017 06:31 PM

It's only a few bad apples.

And that’s what ruins it for everyone!

The sign is too small....and doesn't say trespassers will be shot, or something like that.

Smokinyotes 11-09-2017 06:42 PM

Tire tracks are not spinning. Obviously those ATVs are "muscular" powered and not motorized :)

I don't know perhaps it breaks all the laws of gravity by Isaac Newton?

You posted it sideways........

Sign

I’m surprised the sign isn’t full of bullet holes.

It’s kinds typical really.

300magman 11-09-2017 11:43 PM

Very similar to the thousands of no trespassing signs and closed gates that are completely ignored every season.

That looks like a set or 2 of tracks. You should see one of my fields if I leave a gate open, looks like the Anthony Henday after a couple days. Not much better even if I do close the gates.

Windstorm...

And those same people will be whining and complaining when the government, whoever is in power, closes down more areas to public access..

Only difference is posting a pic incorrectly is not against the law

After seeing a have a dozen new trails in the area I have reported it to the parks officer. I also have to say I hope that the bad apples don't ruin it for the rest of you atvers. But I don't want to hear all the whining when they do close it.

If there are enough complaints it is just easier to completely close an area.

The Spank 11-10-2017 03:01 PM

Maybe they are “new canadians” and can’t read english? :thinking-006:

Bub 11-10-2017 04:01 PM

How many "new Canadians" have you seen riding an ATV? Pretty sure they can speak English, at least some; as for reading and comprehension, not very much, I am sure. In all likelihood, Canada born and raised though.

LKILR 11-10-2017 04:04 PM

Who ever it was they are handy with a chain saw. They had to cut quite a bit of blow down out to get the atv up the trail. They went at least a mile up the non-designated trail.

Smokinyotes 11-10-2017 04:32 PM

Maybe someone shot a moose or elk back there and they took atv's to get it out

Is that a good reason to disobey the rules layed out by the park?

I never said it was, i just stated a possibilty. Relax a little.

NCC 11-10-2017 08:05 PM

The hillbilly, sh1t for brains morons in the ATV crowd are going to ruin it for the rest of us. My cousin worked for SRD; they would put in new "No motorized vehicles beyond this point" signs along the trunk road west of Rocky and on the first long weekend some ********** would park his camper past the sign, hook onto the sign with a chain, pull it out, and throw it on the fire. When confronted they would plead ignorance that they didn't know they were in a restricted area. That's why it is easier to just ban everyone rather than deal with the meatheads.

They still would not read or follow it

Albertacoyotecaller 11-10-2017 10:49 PM

They are just like some of the ignorant people on here that don’t care about others.
