I bought a 1957 Winchester Model 12 and it seems to be in good shape. I wanted a shotgun that will slam fire and understood the Winchester Model 12 slamfires but this one doesn't. Infact I cant even pump it to get the next round in there after I fire it. What is wrong with the gun. I don't think it was made to do this.....

I don't think it was "made" to 'slam fire'. A firearm that slam fires is a broken, unsafe firearm.

Unless I am not understanding what you mean by 'slam fire'.

Was it assembled wrong, and that is the reason you couldn't cycle it?
One can slam fire the eaarly M12's and the older 37's, yes, by simply keeping the trigger pulled as you pump them.
