Cost of bear rug
 

Well, spring is quickly approaching and I'm getting excited to get out and shoot my first bear. How much $ should I be putting away though so that I can get the hide turned into a nice rug?

about $200 per foot.......

I am scottish and am always looking to save a dime. If i go out and get myself
a bear do you think if i brought it to the taxidermist with one of his feet missing they will do it for 600. I could tell the taxidermist he lost one in a trap.

If you just want a flat tanned hide, its about $35/ft.
A full head-raised rug mount seems to be at least $800 from most taxidermists.
