A perch lake close to GP, good luck. You gotta drive a ways to find them, Snipe is probably your best best as far as being close. Good luck in your quest...

cummings lake by fairview was good last time i was there....although that was two years ago

I was at cummings 2 years ago as well, caught too many to count, but I heard they stopped stocking it and shut the aerators off so I haven't went back...might not be true, just what I heard

Last winter the water level was low with the aerators turned off. Nothing survived as far as I know. Last I read they have some serious upgrades to do to the lake before ACA will put it back on the stocking list.

They killed Cummings Lake off, nothing left. Snipe has jumbo perch, as well as Sturgeon Lake. If you PM me i will share some info with you of a Perch Lake not more than 30 minutes from G.P., I'd be willing to bet nobody on here knows or has even heard of it, but i go there at least 10 times through the course of a winter.

I was thinking the same Pat, been hearing stories about it, but never been. I got thinking last night about another little spot I've never heard anyone talk about on here. Used to have some really nice perch in it. Might have to get back up to the north country and check it out someday...

That is incorrect, try North East of the city!

Nope, straight North of GP for about 60kms, then East.

Hunter Trav 01-13-2012 02:43 PM
