This is probably favourite lake to fish in BC.

I hate the idea of "intervention" in lakes because, all too often, it backfires somehow.

Having said that, in BC, and in Kootenay Lake particularly, Bulls are plentiful and easy to catch. Last trip out we caught more bulls compared to all other species combined (add up the Gerhards Rainbows and Kokanees).

Hopefully they have done their research.

And hopefully the intent is to "thin them out" instead of trying to destroy them altogether.

Because Bulls spawn in the fall, and in particular areas, it should be pretty easy to put a huge dent in their population quite easily. If that's the intent anyways.

The Gerard’s have collapsed and they are still blaming them for the Kokanee’s demise.
