510 elk
 

Is anyone having any luck hunting elk in 510. All we seem to be able to find are moose and deer. Any help would be appreciated.

Been hunting in 510 for almost 20 years and I have seen elk twice in 510 they are there but good luck finding them...

The elk I know of in 510 spend every single day of the season on private land, where the owner does not give permission. The surrounding crown land is crawling with hunters from sept 1 on, and if an elk gets killed out of that herd, usually a dumb calf or yearling cow in archery season.

If you go behind Northern Wilderness Lodge on the highway there to slave there's always elk in their fields but they come from the Crown Land if you can get back there which you can
