Exotic Fly Fishing Destination

Good day all,

Looking to head out to anywhere in the world end of February for some fly fishing.

Mainly looking to stick to the usual trout in streams and rivers. Ideally looking to solo, not looking to pick up a guide or outfitter. Any suggestions? not looking to do saltwater or lakes.

Thanks!

correction.....May be open to a outfitter...............

Yep, what you’re asking for seems to be NZ. Just returned from the South Island Sunday.

New Zealand.

Little late for a rifle permit, they want 4mths lead time now, but bring a bow and shoot some meat as you go.

I've had one of the best days ever, fly fishing the Limay outside of Bariloche in Argentina. But you will need a guide.

Cheers
Steve

I know you said no guide but Jurassic Lake looks amazing. Definitely on my bucket list.

I can vouch for this, I was there 15 years ago and am going again in a few months. Not only in the lake amazing, but the Barrancoso River which flows into it is also incredible!
