From your own links the extripation of elk in Alberta (if it even occurred) lasted for 4yrs. Compares really well with the 10,000yrs that horses where gone.
Maybe you should look up the strawman argument? Absurdity and hyperbole is all you have brought to the table.
Point of fact is these horses are feral livestock and should be treated as feral livestock. Try to take the romanticized vision of horses that you have and tone it down a bit.
If these were cattle I would say the same thing.
