I agree about keeping them. As long as you have researched enough to be sure its not native to Alberta. An illegally or accidentally introduced species into a river or lake could be disastrous. A quick web search would tell you if the government introduced a species intentionally. You can even call F&W and they would have that information available. Without the research I would probably release the fish but I would be following up and getting in touch with some officials.
