Thats why you need to use the uber heavy stuff, I use 100lb floro leader material for my quick strike rigs, and have never been bit or broke off. I make mine like your first picture, but I think I might try some like your second picture using the floro. I am a firm believer in it and I think you just showed me a way to make it even better, so thanks for that...
