i've actually started putting leg holds on the platform/entrance. and connected almost every time. so their getting up on them. they have weeds/reeds covering the plywood.
it would seem they just don't feel the need to enter the above water cage. no matter what type of bait/lure i've tried. still trying to perfect them though, and haven't given up.
