That is an excellent idea. The trophy can't be scored, but the hunter still gets the meat, and he can even use the antler material to make knife handles or something else if he pleases. If a person is truly a subsistence hunter, then he should have no issue with this. As well, all animals killed by subsistence hunters should be recorded, so the F&W people actually know how many animals are killed, and where they are killed, so that they can better maintain our animal populations.

It sounds so simple doesn't it, this could really help a lot of the problems but not all.
