As far as break-ins it is no different than your house, vehicle, garage, etc being broke into. It is just something that unfortunately happens.
But i would have to ask the people that do boobie trap. "If say someone had a mishap and were stranded or broke through the ice and needed to break into your shack for survival" I don't think i could boobie trap for that reason alone
