All the lakes in the area have beautiful fish. Skaha lake has rainbow Trout, Sockeye Salmon, Yellow Perch, Common Carp, Pumpkinseed Sunfish, Brown Bullhead, Kokanee Salmon, Largescale Sucker, Northern Pikeminnow and Burbot. Okanagan lake has Kokanee, Lake Whitefish, Burbot and Rainbow Trout. Vaseaux lake a few miles miles south of Penticton has bass and trout. The streams have trout too.
Your standard rod and tackle should work just fine
