If reporters are sloppy in one area of their story, then they're probably sloppy in relating the other 'facts' as well.
In ANY news story you read that you have personal knowledge of, you'll probably find that about 1/3 of it is dead wrong, 1/3 is questionable, and 1/3 is true.
Yet when you read a news story that you have no personal knowledge of, you tend to think that the entire story is true. Why is that?
