I have no problem with any enterprise making a fair profit, after all that's what business is all about. But if it's a required commodity, it is normally regulated to prevent gouging of the consumer.

Actually Alberta pays about average for Canada. Which is pretty good considering we don't have access to large amounts of hydro like Quebec and Manitoba do.
