I was in the bow in bowness the other day and there was some sort of suckerfish at the bottom in a pool near where i was fishing, I'm from BC and not so familiar with the fish here, it had a suckerfish snout on it and was dark, got almost close enough to take it by hand, was around 16" long.
Anyone tell me if this was carp? It was not shiny or white at all, maybe a little lighter on the belly.
Also, is this something I can keep and eat? Not on the list of fish on the gov site.
