I used to...and I totally get what you're saying. He's grown on me, and there's moments where you see him "down" ('cause he's almost always WAY up high...) and he's way more normal. I think it's just his personality. When he fell on the dock...I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.
All this being said, Taro is a professional fishing guide for a reason...he's very very good and puts fish in the boat. When it comes to bass fishing, there aren't many better than him. I think that fact helps "legitimize" him, in my mind.
