If you take the CDC's numbers they have an estimate of 24,000-36,000 influenza deaths for a 12 month period ending April 2020. That works out to 2000-3000 persons a month.
So far Covid19 has killed 130,000 for 5 months, which works out to over 25000 people a month in the US.
