There was an absolute giant pike in that bay. Was at my buddies shack for a minute when a pike came into view on the camera and sat inches away from buddies jig and minnow. (He wanted a walleye).
Looked biggish on the camera but could only see half the head.
So I looked down the hole and was shocked at the bohemoth! The back was sooooo wide! Then it slowly swam away. Took a looooong time to to swim out of view if you know what I mean.
This fish was definitely over 20lbs.
After that, threw a big herring under a tip up but no dice.....
I prefer fishing at gull because the whites are bigger but I think sylvan will be my go to spot just for a chance at huge pike on a tip up while I fish for whites.
