In the day someone was making square holes with a chainsaw at Lac Ste Anne.

I worked half a day helping to get a truck out of the holes who hit them just wrong.

Any hole bigger than 8 inch is a waste unless shallow a d sight fishing so a 10 is better.

Otherwise 6 inch works 90% of the time. An 8 inch 99% of the time. Once I caught a massive pike. Needed two more holes drilled tight to get it out. Released it and then stuck sticks in the mound by the hole.
